Roller Bottle Remedies

Roller bottles are a great way to create natural solutions for your children and family. They are portable and you can create blends that are already diluted. You can add your favorite essential oils to the roller bottle and carry them around in your purse or diaper bag!

Loved your video – so helpful! I have a question, I’ve been using regular coconut oil. I thought I read that there are benefits to both regular and fractionated — is the regular ok? It’s doesn’t get hard in the roller bottles when it’s diluted. I do live in AZ, so it’s not that cold :).

Thanks for your help and all the info!

Yes, the regular is fine especially you live in a climate where it doesn’t get solid

With the recipes given above, what percentage dilution would you say they are? Just trying to figure out how to scale them down. I have a 5 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old. I like your idea of having a roller bottle of just the carrier oil to put on first to dilute more.

Be very aware that the quality of cheaper oils is very unguaranteed. I personally would not recommend the use of any cheaper oils because you just can’t be sure of what you are getting.

I’ve started using oils around January, so I’m fairly new to it. I was wondering about the dilution for the seasonal allergy blend. My daughter is almost 2 and weighs 25 pounds. In the past, I’ve suuuuuper diluted everything for her. According to the chart (I’m using 10 ml bottles by the way), her allergy blend would have how much of each lemon/lav/pep? One drop of each? I’m having trouble deciphering that chart for some reason…

Or would you recommend an entirely different blend for her seasonal allergies?

I’m sorry I did not have time to watch your video but I am keeping this page so I can go back and do so. I do have a quick question when you say top with a carrier oil how much of the carrier oil do you use? And can you use avocado for a carrier?

Yes, avocado oil can be used. If you are using a roller bottle to make a blend, you can top with at least an equal part of carrier oil…more if you want a more diluted blend.

Caution: These are a very high dilution (for the 5ml roller) even for an adult!

Was wondering what type of Melanleuca I should use for the Boo Boo Blend and if there can be any substitues for the Wild orange in the focus blend. Thanks!

Hey Neilena! I’m sorry about that. My essential oil company had a change in policy this past month, and I had to remove some images that included their bottles.

Hi, are you able to tell me how many drops of each oil are in the above recipes. I watched the video months ago but didn’t write down the measurements. I have all the oils to do the recipes from the same company that you used in the video. Hope you can help. 🙂

I would suggest 2-3 drops of each oil. If using several, you may need only 1-2 drops of each.

Hi I’m new to essential oils and mixing them I noticed for the headache rollerball it says one part of each. How much is one part?

1 part means a certain measure. For example if you are mixing an essential oil with fractionated coconut oil and the recipe calls for 1 part essential oil to 3 parts coconut oil, you use 3 times more coconut oil than essential oil.

I would recommend that you use it on the bottoms of their toes and feet whenever you feel they need it. It totally absorbs in about a minute so they can put their socks right back on. In addition, if you want and they seem to be responding to it, you can also rub it on the backs of their necks and even their temples. Be sure that you are blending your oils with fractionated coconut oil and only using the recommended number of drops. I wish you great success with it!

    Hello,

I am excited to make roller bottle blends! Thank you for these recipes!

I have a question however: Some recipes call for “1 part” this or that oil. I am using a 10ml bottle.

How many drops would be equivalent to “1part”? I don’t want to add too many or too less of the drops of oil.

    Thanks!

1 part means an equal part of essential oil to fractionated coconut oil. If it says 1 part, and you use 3 drops of fractionated oil, you would also use 3 drops of essential oil. If you are using a total of 10 drops of different essential oils you would also use 10 drops of fractionated coconut oil.

        Thank you for your response.

As I’ve read, if I want the blends to not be as ‘strong’, I use more carrier oil & vise versa.

I will definitely start with equal parts of both as you explained.

        Thank you!
